nate's Concept Z pictures from Vancouver

All pictures were taken by me at the Pacific International Auto (and Light Truck) Show, April 7, 2001, in Vancouver, BC, Canada. The car that is the subject of these pictures is the "production concept" car that Nissan introduced in January, 2001, in Detroit at the North American International Auto Show. This car is said to be representative of what Nissan's new Z car (possibly to be called the 350Z due to the 3.5l engine) will look like when it hits showrooms in 2002 as a 2003 model.

Actually, this car is not the same one that was in Detroit, but it has the same exterior. The actual car I saw is not a running model and does not have an interior to speak of. The windows were completely opaque, there was no one there who spoke about the car, and there was no literature. Just a car that made me salivate for a long, long time...

I hope to put some more comments here eventually, but for now I'll leave it at this: I liked it in pictures, but I loved it in person, and I can't wait for the damn thing to appear in show rooms so that I can drive it! There are a few angles that look weird and a few things I would change, but it's like wishing the Mona Lisa had given us a bigger smile. It's perfect, but I wouldn't mind if it was just a little more perfect...

You are welcome to use any of these pictures for whatever you like, but I'd appreciate it if you would let me know how you use them just because I'm the curious sort. You can contact me with any comments or questions at natemanz@lycos.com.
